What Sierra carried
Sierra claims it for herself first, out loud: "This is me living my truth… This is me knowing I am enough." That is the doorway she holds open for everyone in front of her. Her songs set self-love as the ground ("Loving yourself, you are the safest place"), love as the one real thing, and inner work as planetary work: "The healing of the planet, it starts with you / You are the medicine, so let it come through." Before Only Thing she asked whether we can hold the pain and the beauty and the perfection all at once, and be an anchor point. She closed with a hand on every heart, calling every part of us home, because "this planet needs you to be all of who you are."
- singing and songwriting at the keys
- spoken invitations between songs
- a hand-on-heart reclaiming practice (This Is Me)
- co-creating on stage with collaborators (Trev, Rio)
- self-produced album (her words: "I produced the whole thing myself")
In their own words
“We know that none of this is ours / We're tenders to this garden”
“Open the heart, this is the sacred sanctuary / And I know that being real can be scary / I'm finding my way back to the truth”
“There's no way out but through / You got to feel it to heal it / You got to keep it so true / Loving yourself, you are the safest place”
“The healing of the planet, it starts with you / You are the medicine, so let it come through”
“Can we hold the pain? Can we hold the beauty and the perfection all at once?”
“Vision is clear, beginning is near / Love's the only thing that's real”
5 more
“Exactly as you are, right here, right now.”
“I'm feeling at home / I'm feeling so free / I'm feeling so whole / I'm feeling so me”
“This is the part where we claim all of who we are.”
“And this planet needs you to be all of who you are.”
“Thank you, Angel. I love you, Queen. I love your vision. I love your heart. May you be forever upheld, uplifted, supported in holding this vision. And knowing that it's not a thing that you have to do alone. We're in this together.”
