What Joshua carried

This set spoke in movement. From the stage deck a DJ with long dreadlocks and black gloves raised a hand to the lawn, and the lawn answered: flowing skirts turning in the low sun, a dancer in a gold, flowing-sleeved costume on the stage, and a wheelchair dancer among the dancers on the grass. It was the hinge of Earth Day, the moment the talks of the afternoon became bodies moving together on the land, everyone welcome on the floor.

What Joshua is up to in the world

Joshua Draper is a musician, DJ, producer and creative producer based in Austin, Texas. As Joshua Bear he makes music with his hands, quite literally: he performs with Mi.Mu gloves, which turn movement into sound, across Afrobeats, bass, melodic electronica, meditative piano and reggae, with live hand percussion, piano and now and then a trumpet.
