I sat down with Alexi to talk about the Olympics and we ended up talking about presence.
He carried his family from Belarus to Louisiana inside a gymnastics legacy, turned pro at fifteen, and became one of the only US men to bounce onto the Olympic stage twice, Tokyo behind closed doors, then the dream of Paris. The part that stayed with me was how he found his deepest flow state through meditation and breathwork, how he learned to be inspired by the journey itself, all the way to the event. Stress is a story about the future. He competes from presence, where the moment is whole.
