Liquid Bloom is the world-electronic music project of Amani Friend, co-founder of Desert Dwellers and curator of the Desert Trax label. It grew in the late 1990s out of music for healing, and it weaves world instruments, voices and sacred song traditions with electronic production, from deep ambient and downtempo to the dancefloor: soundscapes, in his words, for embodied dance, journeys, meditations, wellness, yoga and life.

Tyzen's word on Amani
Liquid Bloom closed Fire Night at SolarPunk Summit, and the floor did not want to leave. The set ran past two in the morning under a screen of lotus and koi, with winged dancers opening rainbow silks beneath the laser fans and fire held high beside the decks.
Amani never spoke on the mic. The music carried the words. Somewhere deep in the set a voice woven into the mix asked us to remember that our wisdom lies in nature, and the whole pavilion seemed to agree. At the end he raised his hands, pressed his palms together, and the host thanked him for a transmission.
What we love in Amani is how much of his life’s work is made to be used. Sound beds for breathwork guides, a sample library of field recordings for other producers, oils and mists for ritual, music for the dance floor and the yoga mat alike. It is music that serves the room it lands in.
Bring Earth Walkers Revisioned home on Bandcamp, carry the Apothecary into your practice, or bring Liquid Bloom to the next gathering that needs a transmission.
