Raven

Raven held the guitar through the last circle of SolarPunk Summit. Sunday night ran into Monday, the open day the summit left as a blank page, and Raven sat on a low chair at the fire bowl while the circle gathered around: a woman in a red shawl by the flames, a man crouched in a white hat, a white dog keeping watch.

At 5:34 in the morning, alone in the frame and lit by the fire, Raven lifted a face to the sky as the song rose: “This is all I ever wanted.” It was one of the last songs of the summit before the light came back.

We know very little of Raven beyond that circle, and that feels true to songs made for the people sitting around a fire. This page holds only what the summit showed us, and it will grow as Raven chooses to share more. Until then, the way to support Raven is the way that night began: bring an open heart to the next fire, and sing along.
